|
Volunteer roles can be created with a variety
of scheduling
parameters to meet your needs
- No schedule
- Between two dates, but on the volunteer’s own time
- Event oriented shifts with dates and times
- Regularly occurring with dates and times (daily, weekly & monthly)
- Irregularly occurring with dates and times.
Roles can be created from a template input at the Enterprise level, or uniquely at the branch/department level.
Each branch / department can schedule their own volunteers in a way that works best for them.

Volunteers can be scheduled in a variety of ways
- Directly from a volunteer’s profile (when you are working with a single volunteer and want to place her/him in a selected activity)
- From a list of volunteers who have signed up for the activity (and are qualified and don’t have any overlapping assignments)
- Automatically when a volunteer that you have pre-approved signs up
- Automatically when a volunteer signs up and has met a minimum application criterion that you specify
- Automatically when any volunteer signs up (when there is no specific criteria for volunteering)
Group Scheduling
- Administrators can track multiple individuals attending a shift using only one Group Leader profile.
Avoid overbooking a shift
- In all cases, the system can also be set to accept only a specified number of volunteers signing up for each role or each shift of a role.
Avoid last minute surprises
- If you’d like, volunteers can remove themselves from a shift up to a number of hours (that you specify) before the shift. You will be emailed automatically and other volunteers can fill the vacancy.
- Automatically lock a shift a specified number of hours before the shift begins.

The scheduling dashboard lets you know where the gaps are
- colour coding tells you which shifts are filled and which need your personal attention
- Filter the schedule dashboard to only show roles in a specified date range, in a specific role category (new!) or at a specific status such as unfilled.

- Calendar styled date pickers simplify date selection
- Save timetable templates that can be reused for the same role or different ones.
More than just role management
- Volunteer Impact can also be used to schedule trainings and volunteer intake interviews.
